New vacuum technology for milking machines

Busch has developed a new vacuum pump especially for milking machine requirements - the pump generates the vacuum required for suctioning the milk almost maintenance-free, without using oil, and extremely economically.

This new Mink claw vacuum pump compresses without contact. This means there are no parts in the compression chamber that touch during vacuum pump operation. Thus the Mink vacuum pump works completely wear-free. Oil or other operating materials are not required. The rotary vane vacuum pumps lubricated by fresh oil that have previously often been used for milking machines require the oil to be replenished regularly and the used oil to be disposed of. These jobs, and thus of course the working time and costs related to them, no longer have to be performed by the operator of a milking machine with Mink vacuum technology. The only thing necessary is a gear oil change after 20,000 operating hours. Which at eight operating hours a day means that this oil change should be carried out every seven years. Since there are no wearing parts, costs for maintenance work, part replacement and acquisition are a thing of the past.

Mink claw vacuum pumps are already being used as standard by major manufacturers of automatic milking machines. Conversion of existing machines is possible at any time. With eight different sizes, the Mink vacuum pump can be ideally dimensioned for all sizes of milking machine.

Busch is one of the largest manufacturers of vacuum pumps in the world and delivers these to a wide range of different industries. Thanks to 48 companies of its own and a dense service network。

Vacuum technology in woodworking

The company Dr.-Ing. K. Busch GmbH has published a manual for practical professionals entitled "Vacuum technology in the woodworking industry". Vacuum technology is used in a wide range of areas, such as vacuum clamping, handling, in mould and veneer presses, for drying or impregnating.

The multitude of vacuum pumps on offer with a wide range of functional principles makes it difficult to select and design a suitable vacuum generator. This manual intends to help users find the best technical and economical solution for vacuum supplies.

The manual deals with the different application possibilities for vacuum technology in woodworking and describes how a vacuum is produced, which physical laws have to be taken into consideration and which forces act, during vacuum clamping, for example.

The different vacuum generation methods are listed in detail and the individual types of vacuum pumps presented and their technical parameters compared. Economic feasibility are dealt with in detail here. Tips on vacuum pump installation round off this comprehensive information manual on the subject of vacuum. The manual is available in German and English.

The manual "Vacuum technology in woodworking" can be obtained free (info@busch.de).

Thermprocess 2007

Busch participated at the trade show Thermprocess with great success. The fair took place from June 12 until June 16, 2007 in Duesseldorf. The Thermprocess is the leading international trade fair for thermo process technology.

Busch displayed their latest vacuum pumps for applications in surface engineering. Visitors from Germany and abroad were really interested in the screw technology of our COBRA vacuum pump. For the first time Busch also displayed the new version of a vacuum pumping unit Combi. These pumping units are combinations of a booster pump and a Roots blower. They are used in heat treatment furnaces, surface-activation and plasma cauterisation.

The latest products were presented at IFFA

The latest vacuum pumps for meat processing and -packaging were presented by the Dr.-Ing. K. Busch GmbH during IFFA from May 5th until May 10th in Frankfurt. IFFA is the world's leading trade fair for the meat processing industry. For Busch, who is global market leader in the vacuum packaging industry, it is the most important fair.

The new R 5 0160 E took centre stage of the visitor's interest. It is a vacuum pump that was developed for the use in thermoforming machines. It is the first vacuum pump worldwide that is conform to the hygienic design requirements. This vacuum pump is conform to the European hygienic design requirements and can be installed in every packaging- or processing room.

The new R 5 generation was another visitor magnet. This new version has an improved ultimate pressure and therefore the suction capacity, which is relevant for the packaging, has been improved by 50%. This means shorter cycles for the customer and also the packaging process will be accelerated.

Another topic at the Busch booth was the Service, which Busch offers for every vacuum pump.

One area of the booth showed different principles of vacuum production, which are usually not relevant for the meat industry. With this area Busch was able to show how many different vacuum pumps are in the company's product range.

Busch has vacuum pumps for many applications in different areas of industry and research.
